What Makes Centennial Outstanding

Centennial High School has an ethnically and socio-economically diverse student population of 752 students in grades 9-12, including students from over 43 nations. This diversity creates a rich cultural environment for all students to learn how to work and live together in the 21st century. Centennial has accreditation from the North Central Association of Secondary Schools and Colleges and The Ohio Department of Education and was awarded a Silver Medal from U.S. News and World Reports. Centennial has 45 certified professional staff. Of the certified staff, 8 are National Board Certified and 82% have earned Master's Degrees or above. Our student body consists of the following demographics:

  • Special Education: 13%
  • Multiracial: 7.9%
  • English Language Learners: 11%

Centennial is a traditional and comprehensive urban high school operating on an eight-period day. The school offers a wide variety of courses ranging from Advanced Placement courses to developmental classes. Mathematics provides a 5-year sequence at an accelerated level. Many courses are offered in fine arts and technology. Other options include vocational programs at the career centers, College Credit Plus (dual-enrollment), and Credit Flexibility.
