Honors Diplomas
High school students can gain state recognition for exceeding Ohio’s graduation requirements through an honors diploma. Students challenge themselves by taking and succeeding at high-level coursework and in real-world experiences. The Ohio Department of Education allowed students graduating in 2018 to earn one of six honors diplomas five of them are offered at Centennial.
Below contains information from the Ohio Department of Education about each type of diploma. Centennial students have the opportunity to choose to pursue one of the following five honors diplomas:
General Honors Diploma Guidelines
Social Science and Civic Engagement Honors Diplomas
STEM Honors Diploma Guidelines
Honors Diplomas include dance, drama/theatre, music, and visual art. Students interested in pursuing an International Baccalaureate, Career Tech, STEM, Arts, or Social Science and Civic Engagement Honors Diploma will be required to complete a field experience, portfolio, or both. The first step is to contact your high school counselor and let them know that you are interested in earning an honors' diploma so they can help you correct sequence your courses so you can succeed.
